Top Japanese cars manufacturers are into the production of automobiles which run on solar power. Early leaks from Toyota Motor Corporation indicate that solar energy driven cars may be developed in near future. These new cars are rumored to use currently available electric fuel cells, which can be charged using home and work based solar generating power stations. These are supplemented by power generated by solar panels mounted on the top of the vehicles.
After becoming conscious of dangers of using fossil fuels, the industry has started concentrating on the development on alternate energy sources. When considering alternate energy sources, solar power is getting the top priority. This is due to the fact that in comparison with other alternate energy sources the energy available from the Sun is available in abundance.
